Reading boss confirms Sheffield Wednesday key man guilty

Sheffield Wednesday was granted permission to speak with one of his important employees, according to an EFL manager, but the employee will remain in place.

With the addition of goalkeeping coach Sal Bibbo this week, Owls manager Danny Röhl’s team at S6 is now complete. Röhl has been busy assembling his coaching staff.

Röhl’s former Southampton teammate Andrew Sparkes, who works as an assistant manager at Reading, was reportedly one of the candidates being considered for the goalkeeping position.

Royals manager Ruben Selles acknowledged Sparkes had spoken to Wednesday when he was questioned about the approach. “We gave him the freedom to speak with them, but he is committed to us and chose not to proceed,” the speaker stated. He is content with us.

Röhl has expressed nothing but praise for the selection of Bibbo, a former coach at Arsenal who has experience working with some of the biggest names in the game. In response to a question about potential future coaching appointments, the German made it apparent that he had completed the task of assembling his elite backroom staff.

“I am very happy with my staff now I have the keeper coach,” he stated. “The assistant coaches, three analysts, and the athletic coach are all a little different from one another. I find it significant that our profiles and types are different. Each person has something unique to offer. This is beneficial.

We’re a solid group. Coaches need to exude positive energy because it’s contagious and can be transferred to players and supporters, which is something I find appealing.”
