The 38-year-old has been working as the head of scouting for PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie and will start at Ibrox in January.
Koppen will join the club’s “Football Board” and will be involved in player trades, contracts, and squad planning.
The current board of directors consists of the following individuals: chairman John Bennett, chief executive James Bisgrove, manager Philippe Clement, director of football operations Creag Robertson, director of medical and performance Dr Mark Waller, and academy director Zeb Jacobs.

Rangers chairman Bennett had highlighted the importance of player recruitment and sales in the club’s recent annual report, saying that consistent successful trading was key to their long-term goals.
