Swindon Town Set For Battle To Keep First Team Star

The 27-year-old moved to Chesterfield in 2021 after spending the most of his early career climbing the non-league ladder. He moved to Swindon in the summer of 2022 after proving to be a huge hit for the East Midlands club.

In his first season at the County Ground, Khan made 37 appearances across all competitions; this season, he has made an additional 18 appearances. He received his first international call-up to the Gambian squad earlier this year and is regarded as an important member of Michael Flynn’s squad.

Now, with the transfer window reopening in January, division rivals and promotion-hopeful Wrexham have taken notice of his League Two form and are reportedly planning a big money move. Football Insider claims that the Welsh team made an attempt to sign the former loanee from Dagenham & Redbridge in the summer and will make another attempt in the New Year.
