Sunderland new boss makes “guarantees” admission on January transfer window

Beale took a very confident stance amid questions on the January window

• Sunderland boss Mick Beale is happy with his current set of players and did not seek guarantees for the January transfer window.
•  The previous transfer window saw young players arrive at the Stadium of Light, with some thriving and others struggling.
•  The team may have money to spend in January after generating income from player sales – but it remains to be seen how much the Black Cats’ board is willing to spend next month.
• Michael Beale, the manager of Sunderland, told the Sunderland Echo that he liked his current group of players so much that he didn’t ask for guarantees about the January transfer window.
• Beale hasn’t had a chance to make his mark on the team yet because he recently arrived at the Stadium of Light. Tony Mowbray, his predecessor, was in charge of the previous transfer window.However, it is likely that Mowbray had little influence over transfers in the summer, as important recruitment figures such as Kristjaan Speakman may have taken the lead in their efforts to put their model into practice.During the previous window, a large number of young players arrived at the Stadium of Light; some of these players thrived while others struggled.
• Mowbray is sticking with the former Birmingham City player Jobe Bellingham, who has shown promise this season and is among the first names on the team sheet.For Bellingham and the other Black Cats starters, though, it’s a new era; in fact, given that Speakman and owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus are still in place, it’s possible that the coaching staff is the only one that has changed somewhat.With players like Ross Stewart, Lynden Gooch, and Danny Batth departing, they made a respectable amount of money from sales during the summer, and they might have extra cash next month to improve their chances of placing in the top six.
• Beale on Sunderland’s January sales: “Getting guarantees on the window wasn’t necessary for me.”
  Given that the team could have benefited from additional experience, it makes sense that Beale would have asked for guarantees regarding January.However, the former manager of the Rangers made no demands, saying to the Sunderland Echo: “I like the team we have, so I didn’t feel the need to get guarantees on the window or anything like that.
