Rangers ready £2.5m bid to seal yet another transfer in January

Rangers are readying a £2.5million bid to seal yet another transfer for Vitesse Arnhem star Million Manhoef, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper reported on its website on Friday (29 December) that the Light Blues are leading the race for the highly rated 21-year-old winger who they have tracked for the last 12 months.

The young Dutch talent is being pursued by both Preston North End and Leicester City, but the Gers are the favourites to sign him, and Nils Koppen, director of football at Rangers, has given his approval to the deal.

With just 18 months remaining on his Vitesse contract, Manhoef’s Dutch team is open to considering any reasonable offer, and Rangers are willing to spend up to £2.5 million to sign him when the transfer window opens.

Finish it off.

The Belgian has been eager to use wingers in a system since moving to Glasgow, but the Gers manager has been forced to start players like Todd Cantwell and Sam Lammers out of position due to a lack of options at Ibrox.

Although Scott Wright, Ross McCausland, and Rabbi Matondo are currently available and fully fit, the Rangers could use a few more wide players in their lineup, and Manhoef would be the ideal solution to that issue come January.

Despite his lack of experience, the 21-year-old fits the Light Blues’ player trading model and could improve even more if he moves to Ibrox. They think it’s worth a punt for £2.5 million as they try to win the Scottish Premiership.

Fabio Silva has already arrived at Rangers before the month has even officially started, demonstrating the team’s eagerness to close deals early this January. They can’t let the chance to move for Manhoef pass them by because they have the chance to do the same again.

It appears that Clement and Rangers may have a busy month ahead of them, despite statements to the contrary from Ibrox’s management.
