Reports have claimed that Crystal Palace are now interested in signing one Chelsea player on loan until the end of the season.
According to the Evening Standard, their fellow London Premier League side are keen to bring in Andrey Santos on a temporary basis, ahead of interest from a number of Championship sides.
Santos has endured a nightmare first proper season in English football, which is a massive shame considering just how highly he is rated at Stamford Bridge.
Some at the club were even more excited about his £18m addition 12 months ago than they were when they smashed their transfer record to bring in Enzo Fernandez.
However, after getting him a loan spell to a Premier League side in the form of Nottingham Forest, he has been forced to watch from the side for nearly the whole campaign so far.
One brief Premier League cameo and a start in the EFL Cup is all he has to his name this season, and this is why he will be returning to Stamford Bridge in the coming days.
Palace want Santos
There is currently no rush for the Blues to make a decision on his future, with them likely to be fuming over his treatment this season.
With them only able to loan him to an English side this month, Palace have now emerged as a potential suitor that will keep him in the Premier League.
They recently faced the Eagles at Stamford Bridge, where Noni Madueke found the net from the penalty spot late on in order to secure an important three points for the Blues.
With the midfield position one that is going to be heavily contested in the coming years in West London, Santos could really do with getting some high-level minutes under his belt before the competition for places heats up.
