Oregon State WR Transfer Silas Bolden To Visit Texas:

The Texas Longhorns had one of the best wide receiver groups in college football this season, but heading into 2024 have lost all four of

their top pass-catchers to the NFL Draft. In total, they are losing 217 catches, 3,046 yards, and 19 touchdowns with Xavier Worthy, Adonai Mitchell, Jordan Whittington, and Ja’Tavion Sanders all off to the NFL. The next person with the most catches is running back Johnathon Brooks who also is going to the NFL. Now the cupboard isn’t being left bare as the Longhorns have Johntay Cook II ready and waiting, have added Houston transfer Matthew Golden, and also have an incoming five-star receiver in Ryan Wingo. However, Steve Sarkisian is still clearly looking for more experience to add to the receiver room, which we saw over the weekend. Based on a post on the app formerly known as Twitter, the Longhorns have offered Oregon State transfer Silas Bolden.

According to 247Sports, the 5-foot-8, 157-pound Bolden ranks as the No. 9 available wide receiver in the portal. This past season, he and now-Florida State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei formed quite the connection, as Bolden racked up career highs in every category. He finished the year with 54 catches for 746 yards and five receiving touchdowns while averaging 13.8 yards per catch. He also added two rushing scores, and returned a punt for a touchdown.

Things are moving fairly quickly as well, as according to a report by On3, the Longhorns will be hosting Bolden for a visit this weekend. Aside from Texas, programs such as Washington, Michigan State, Auburn, Kansas State, and USC have all offered the California native according to his social media.
