Troy Deeney talking tough on RACIST Abuse Received>

Troy Deeney, the manager of Forest Green Rovers, shared the racist comments he has been subjected to on Instagram after going on a tirade at his players during the weekend following their 2-0 loss to Harrogate.

After Forest Green’s defeat over the weekend, the former Premier League striker—who assumed leadership of the team last month—vehemently attacked his team, saying there were “too many babies” in the team. However, he later apologised and acknowledged that “I let my emotions get the better of me.”

He has since revealed on social media that, following his outburst, he has received abhorrent racial messages.

Deeney replied, “Here we go again,” to a message he saw on his Instagram Story that said, “Dumb n****, f***** idiot shut ya mouth kiddddd.”

Throughout his playing career, which saw him captain Watford in the Premier League and appear for Birmingham City in the Championship, Deeney received racist taunts.

He blocked comments on his Instagram after receiving hate mail after Watford’s 2019 FA Cup semifinal victory over Wolves.

In addition, Birmingham issued a statement expressing their “appal and sadness” in response to Deeney and supporters’ reports of racist taunts directed against the forward prior to his departure from the team last year.

Deeney has since transitioned into management, although things have not gone as expected during his time at Forest Green.

After six games under Deeney’s leadership, the team is currently bottom of League Two, having drew three and lost three. After their most recent loss on Saturday, the 35-year-old promised to make changes to his team, which he has been criticising frequently in recent weeks.

I was trying to worm my way in, but it’s going to have to be sledgehammered out, and a lot of people aren’t going to like that. He said, “I don’t really care.”

“From top to bottom, there are currently too many babies.”In response to a question about his evaluation of the game, he said, “Probably the same as everyone else.” A whole bunch of bullshit.

A scattering of individuals going about their lives, hidden, afraid. Based on everything I’ve witnessed over the last 18 months to two years, I don’t understand why they’re afraid. They ought to be accustomed to losing.

I’m aware that many will say things like, “Troy’s being harsh, Troy’s deflecting.” I accept full responsibility for it, and I’m not diversionary in the least. I choose the team and I have to apologise to the supporters, but I’m more interested in solving and resolving the problems at their heart than I am in apologising.

Deeney specifically criticised full back Fankaty Dabo, but he later said he was sorry to Dabo and that he still stood by his comments about his team.

On Saturday, Forest Green will play again as they go to Gillingham in an attempt to win under Deeney for the first time.
