Fulham is reportedly considering making a late move to sign Petar Musa in order to improve their assault during the current January transfer window, according to Record via Sport Witness. The English team might be the 25-year-old’s last destination if he decides to leave Benfica.
Fulham Looking for an Attacker on the Market..
Despite sitting in 13th place in the Premier League, the Cottagers are only eight points above the relegation zone. Any increase in their numbers will therefore aid them in their battle to stay in the English premier league. Even though Musa isn’t the greatest in the world, he can still make an impact in the latter third of the field.
In the summer of 2022, the 25-year-old was hired by the Portuguese club. Since then, he has made 66 appearances and helped score 22 goals. Despite his efforts, the Croat has not been able to establish himself as a consistent starter. And even though he still has more than three years left on his contract, his future at Benfica does not appear promising.
He has appeared in 25 games so far this season, however he has played for fewer than 900 minutes. Musa is obviously not the starting striker because he has only contributed eight goals to the team. Additionally, Marcos Leonardo’s arrival from Brazil will cause him to fall farther in the hierarchy.
Is Petar Musa Moving?
In the latter part of the season, it seems unlikely that the Croatian forward will see a lot of playing time. He would therefore wish to relocate. Numerous European clubs are aware of the circumstances and are eager to sign him on a loan with a buyout option.
English clubs who are interested in hiring Musa are Fulham and others. Given their recent performance, they are in the relegation battle and do require reinforcement. A new number nine is urgently needed, with Jhon Cordoba surfacing as a target. The Cottagers have lost four of their previous five league games, ranking among the division’s lowest-scoring sides.
As their recent interest in him, cottagers may soon make an offer to hire him. Although there will be competition from other teams and it is a race against time, Marco Silva’s team will try to win.
