Rotherham United Interested In £850K-Rated Star’

The Millers find themselves in a desolate situation, sitting rock bottom of the Championship table, having failed to win a match in four league outings. Furthermore, the South Yorkshire club have picked up merely one victory in their last 17 games in all competitions

Currently eight points from safety, Leam Richardson’s team has a daunting schedule of games ahead of them, with meetings against Southampton, Leeds United, Hull City, Watford, and Ipswich Town.

In an attempt to pull off a miracle before the season ends, Rotherham United is hoping to add a few new players before the transfer deadline. Pink Un reports that the Millers are considering a move for Norwich City wide out Przemysław Pacheta

The Poland international Placheta’s contract at Carrow Road expires at the end of the 2023–2024 campaign, and he has only played 685 minutes this season, split across 19 appearances. This works up to 36 minutes every game on average.

The other bidders have not been revealed, but Pink Un has also stated that Rotherham United is not the only Championship team interested in signing the winger before the transfer market closes on Thursday night.

Placheta joined Norwich City in 2020, and during the 2020–21 season, he even contributed to the Canaries’ elevation to the Premier League. But there hasn’t been any discussion regarding a potential contract extension.

All signs lead to an exit for Placheta. The attacker, who can also operate as a fullback, has entered into his final six months as a Norwich player but still boasts an £850,000 market value, as per Transfermarkt.

Given his lack of game-time this season under David Wagner, it would make a lot of sense for the club to sell Placheta to ensure they don’t lose him for nothing at the end of the season.
