The loan transfer of Scott Fraser to Hearts seems to be back on track and should be completed before tomorrow’s deadline.
An agreement was reached to send the Scottish midfield player north from Charlton for the remainder of the season; however, the loan stalled when Michael Appleton was fired by them. Since then, it has remained in limbo, with Steven Naismith, the leader of the Jambos, acknowledging that he had no idea when or if it would proceed.
The 28-year-old stayed in Scotland while he bided his time to see if he would be given the opportunity to finish the relocation he desires for family reasons. The Daily Record now states that, in order for the window to close tomorrow night, the deal MUST close within the next 24 hours.
Fraser might make his debut for Hearts on Saturday when they travel to play Dundee, the rival team of his old team.
The Jambos would also have liked to bring forward the signing of Yan Dhanda, who they’ve secured for next season on a pre-contract, but Ross County look set to stand firm on keeping him for the rest of the campaign.
Fraser will become their second addition of January after Dexter Lembikisa signed on loan from Wolves before scoring on his first start.
