Wigan Athletic striker Charlie Wyke has joined Rotherham United on loan for the rest of the campaign
The 31-year-old will temporarily reunite with his former Leeds manager Leam Richardson in South Yorkshire.
However, it appears that he has played his final game wearing a Wigan shirt because his Latics contract expires this summer.
This season, Wyke has made 22 appearances for the Latics and has eight goals in all competitions.
He moved from Sunderland to Latics in the summer of 2021, however in November of that same year, he passed away during a training session at Christopher Park.
In fact, Richardson and the team’s physician, Jonathan Tobin, saved the striker’s life; he eventually made a comeback to the pitch over a year later.
Before joining the DW Stadium, Wyke played for Kettering, Hartlepool, Wimbledon, Carlisle, and Sunderland after rising through the ranks at his native club, Middlesbrough.
He scored 15 goals for Latics in 57 games overall.
