All eyes will be on Brendan Rodgers in the summer and the kind of player the Hoops coach brings to the team, as Celtic’s transfer business has been in the news for the past few months.
There were high expectations that there would have been big signings in January to help bolster the squad for the title run-in because the Celtic manager has been lamenting the lack of quality in the squad for months.
The Celtic supporters are complaining because those moves never happened. However, it appears that the team is still looking for talent, as a Football Transfers report indicates that the Hoops are reportedly keeping an eye on Adam Berry, a former Manchester United academy graduate.
Berry, who was predicted to be one of United’s top prospects in 2023, departed the team on February 8 and is currently on trial at Nottingham Forest.
The 17-year-old is reportedly being watched by Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers in addition to Forest and Celtic.
Who is Adam Berry?
Before leaving this month, the young player spent 12 years in the Manchester United academy.
The young player is primarily a central midfielder, but he can also play as a winger or a number ten.
Berry has made 27 appearances for the Manchester United under-18 team, contributing four assists and two goals. [Transfermarkt]
Surprisingly, Berry did spend some time on trial at Rangers earlier in the season. It was reported that he participated in two B team games for the Ibrox team against Hearts’ B team as well as Icelandic side Breidablik.
Berry is still looking for a new club, but when he does decide where he wants to go with his career, there will be no shortage of suitors for him.
