According to information on their official club website, Callum Johnson and Calum Macdonald of Mansfield Town are anticipated to miss their match this weekend.
In an attempt to maintain their momentum, Mansfield Town will return to League Two action this weekend when they travel to Walsall on the road.
Both Macdonald and Johnson are currently sidelined as they attempt to get back on the pitch as soon as safely and rapidly as feasible.
They are still probably out against the Saddlers, according to the club’s website’s most recent report on the defensive duo.
Mansfield Town injury recent report
Johnson sustained a hamstring strain. This season, he has made 22 appearances in all competitions, with 16 of those coming in the league.
The January transfer to Mansfield last year brought the player from Middlesbrough, Accrington Stanley, Portsmouth, and Ross County, and he will be excited to return to support his team’s progress to League One.
Regarding Macdonald, the left-back joined the Stags in the summer of last year and is experiencing a calf issue. He was with Bristol Rovers and Stockport County last term.
Originating from Derby County, the 26-year-old was previously signed by Blackpool and Tranmere Rovers before relocating to Field Mill.
Mansfield’s confidence will be through the roof right now after their recent 9-2 thrashing of Harrogate Town. With 14 games remaining in the campaign, they currently hold the second spot in the table.
They are expecting to advance automatically this time around after missing out on the playoffs the previous year.
The Stags might take the lead if they win on Saturday and the Hatters lose at Tranmere. They are currently only one point behind Stockport.
