Police on the roads are requesting information in relation to a major collision that involved two vans close to Ayr.
On Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 10:25 a.m., authorities received a call regarding a two-vehicle collision on the A713, close to Ayr Hospital.
A white Volkswagen caddy van and a white Renault box van were involved in the incident.
After emergency personnel arrived, a 62-year-old man was transported by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where medical professionals have determined that his injuries are severe.
The 43-year-old man who was operating the second van was transported to Ayr Hospital with only minor wounds.
“Our investigations into this collision are ongoing, and we would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time who has not already spoken,” stated Sergeant Gordon Stewart.
