Man found dead in Dereham and police insist road closure.

Police have formally identified the man who was discovered dead at a Dereham flat on Boundary Close as 48-year-old Stuart Yates.

Concerns about a man’s safety at the flat prompted police to respond to the scene at 12:45 p.m. on thursday.

His body was found inside by the police, but the reason for his death is still unknown because the postmortem test turned up conflicting results.

While investigators from the Joint Major probe Team continue their probe, a seal at the address is probably going to stay in place for the foreseeable future.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or spoke to Stuart Yates at the end of last week or believe they could have information to assist.

Boundary Close is on the Pavilion Way estate, next to Dereham Cricket Club, off Norwich Road.

Anyone with information should contact the Joint Major Investigation Team on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
