DeMar DeRozan expresses a desire to finish unfinished business with the Chicago Bulls.
Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan eyes a continued stint with the team as he heads into free agency.
“The city is great, I love the city, the organisation has been great — it’s definitely a place I’d like to return to and finish some unfinished business,” DeRozan stated on a Run It Back broadcast with Lou Williams.
According to reports, the Bulls are interested in retaining DeRozan and plan to offer him a job and money that may not be available elsewhere in the league.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, there is widespread “belief” around the NBA that the Bulls will make a convincing offer for DeRozan’s services.
DeRozan, 34, has been named to two All-Star teams in his three seasons with the Bulls. During the most recent regular season, he averaged 24.0 points and 4.3 rebounds 5.3 assists per game in 79 starts.
Before joining the Chicago Bulls in 2021, DeRozan played for the Toronto Raptors (2009-18) and the San Antonio Spurs (2018-21).
