Sheffield Wednesday and owner Dejphon Chansiri could well have a very valuable player on their hands come this time next year.
Sheffield Wednesday rarely sells big-name players, with Lucas Joao being the most recent high-profile exit.
Although the Owls haven’t sold anyone for quite as much since 2019, Reading paid Sheffield Wednesday £5 million for the striker back in 2019.
In 2018, Jack Hunt reportedly moved for £1.6 million to Bristol City; however, as of Wednesday, their current practice appears to be recruiting players on free transfers and then letting them leave for nothing.
This summer, Danny Rohl plans to make that adjustment. He will want Sheffield Wednesday to start building money and a path to the Premier League by having the Owls start bringing them in at an early age and developing them into great assets.
There aren’t many players on this Sheffield Wednesday team right now that have the potential to bring in a significant transfer price in the future.
Anthony Musaba, though, might have their greatest shot.

Musaba, a 23-year-old Dutch winger, was acquired by Sheffield Wednesday from AS Monaco last summer for an unknown sum.
The cost was never disclosed. Whatever the case, Musaba went on to score seven goals and provide five more assists in 43 Championship games, so owner Dejphon Chansiri might be happy he paid the price.
In addition, Musaba scored two crucial goals in a 2-0 victory at QPR in April and two crucial goals in victories against Stoke City and QPR back in December.
Musaba is reportedly valued at £1.1 million, with a contract that runs until 2026, according to Transfermarkt.
But that number might truly soar in time for the summer of 2025 if he has another outstanding season with Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.
