Dwight McNeil sends five-word message To His Team mate

Dwight McNeil, an Everton winger, gave Dominic Calvert-Lewin a five-word note following his score against Brentford.

On Saturday, September 23, the striker scored his team’s third and final goal in a 3-1 Premier League victory over the Bees.

Just eight minutes after coming on as a substitute to replace fellow striker Beto and a summer signing, he scored.

His finish came just eight minutes after entering the pitch as a substitute, coming on for summer signing and fellow striker Beto.

Sharing a video of McNeil celebrating before Calvert-Lewin had put the ball into the net, Everton posted on Instagram: “Dwight knew.”

The winger then shared the video on his own Instagram, tagging Calvert-Lewin and writing the message: “Never in doubt big guy.”

McNeil’s celebration of the goal before it was scored speaks much about Calvert-Lewin’s finishing skills because the former knew there could only be one result when the latter received the ball.

James Garner sent a superb through ball, and Calvert-Lewin finished it off with ease. Everton supporters who had been waiting patiently for similar occasions this season went wild at the goal.

But given that their confidence had been quite low at Goodison Park in the early going this season, that should be a huge boost for them and Calvert-Lewin.

In order to potentially score frequently over the next few months, the striker will now try to capitalize on his success in West London.

Due to his fitness concerns, he might not start the following game, but the striker will still be overjoyed if he keeps scoring while serving as a substitute.
