A ROAD closure is in place in both directions on Warrington Road in Prescot due to an ongoing police incident.
A57 Warrington Road is closed both ways and heavy traffic is in place due to police incident from A58 St Helens Road to Queens Road.
The incident, according to Merseyside Police, is a collision involving a Ford Fiesta and a Volkswagen Golf, with initial reports made at 2.35pm.
There is a diversion in place for bus services 61, 89 and 10A.
The general public is therefore advised to take note of the development and take precautionary measures in order to avoid being traped down by traffic on the road.
