2 adults dead, 3 children injured in Bristol crash

Authorities in Bristol say that following a Tuesday night collision on Stevens Street, two adults perished and three children were sent to the hospital.

The single-vehicle collision occurred on Stevens Street close to the Farmington town line.

According to authorities, an automobile on Stevens Street veered off the road, struck a sign, and then crashed through some trees before coming to a complete halt in the woods.

First responders and bystanders assisted those stranded inside the car. Bristol Fire Chief Richard Hart reported that two individuals had been declared dead at the site.


After being extracted from the vehicle, three kids were brought to the hospital. According to Chief Hart, two children were carried by ambulance, while one youngster was flown by a LifeStar helicopter. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

The people in the car were visiting Connecticut from out-of-state for Thanksgiving. The police department said they are not releasing the adults’ identities to allow the next of kin travel time and privacy.
