Police lunch investigation after woman assaulted in Swaffham

Witnesses are being sought after a woman was assaulted in Swaffham Market Place last week.

Norfolk Police say the incident happened on Saturday, June 29 around 3.25pm.

A woman was reportedly pushed by a man who went on to damage her car.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or any information concerning it

After police arrived, a man was taken into custody on charges of assault, causing criminal damage, making death threats, and being intoxicated and unruly.

While inquiries are ongoing, he was questioned at the King’s Lynn Police Investigation Center and then released on bail until Wednesday ,July 3 .
