A man has been arrested following a crash in Oldham which killed a 42-year-old woman and a 15-year-old child.
Another child, 13, suffered serious injuries from the collision and was taken to hospital.
Officers were called to reports of the incident in Ripponden Road at around 4pm on Friday.
The force said the woman and teenager travelling in one of the vehicles died at the scene.
A 35-year-old man, who was the only person in the other vehicle – described as a BMW X5 – was arrested at the scene.
He remains in custody for questioning, police said.
Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam, mobile phone, CCTV or doorbell footage from the area to come forward.
