Following the death of a woman in an affluent market town, a 28-year-old male and a 15-year-old schoolgirl have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder.

At 2:38 a.m. today, reports of a disturbance at a home in Leamington Spa, , prompted the contact of emergency personnel.

Inside the £370,000 home on Valley Road in Lillington, police found the 54-year-old victim suffering from a severe head injury. They began CPR, but the woman was pronounced dead at the spot.
A 15-year-old girl and a 28-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody being quizzed by officers.

Residents stated that after her husband moved out after a separation or divorce, the woman moved into the semi-detached red brick home with her teenage daughter.

A local, who wished to remain anonymous, described them as a close-knit family that kept to themselves.

In fact, in the 20 years that I have been here, I have never spoken to them.

At first, I believe there was a mother, father, daughter, and two sons in the household.

“The father moved out or got divorced, leaving the daughter behind while the boys moved out.”

“I recall the boys being rowdy and playing football outside.”

“I thought they would be trouble,” but that was never the case.

‘Having worked as a paramedic for thirty years, I was informed by the police about the incident.

‘It’s not the sort of neighbourhood where you get this kind of thing.’

Retired local government employee Denise Darlison, 64, stated: “We were awakened this morning at five o’clock by the police dogs barking.”

All I knew about them was hello. I believe the residents were a woman and her daughter.

“I noticed a lot of police when I peered out the window.” In such a peaceful place, it was quite the surprise.

Retired mechanic Tom Maher, 76, stated: “At 5:15 a.m., the police knocked on the door.”

There had been a significant event, so they inquired as to whether we had seen or heard anything.

The woman had been killed, according to the CID, when we returned from our 7 a.m. shopping trip.

‘In our forty years here, we have hardly spoken to them.

“I believe the lady had a couple of male lodgers and her daughter must’ve been a teenager. Her daughter must’ve been a teenager.
