Man, 25, fighting for his life after being struck by car whilst crossing the road in Ayrshire town
After being hit by a car while crossing the street in North Ayrshire, a man is fighting for his life.
Early on Sunday morning, a Honda Civic in Beith’s Eglinton Street ran over the 25-year-old guy.
When ambulances arrived on the scene at 12:10 in the morning, the pedestrian was taken to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. His health, according to doctors, is critical.
A man of nineteen was driving the Honda.Following the horrifying collision, police have issued a call for witnesses, requesting that anyone driving in the vicinity see if they have dash-cam evidence.
Authorities claim that when the incident occurred, a lot of people were leaving neighbouring bars in the neighbourhood.
Sergeant Stewart Taylor said: “I believe that the area was quite busy at the time of the crash with people leaving the nearby pubs. I would ask anyone who witnessed to this crash, who has not yet spoken to police, or anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact us.
