Leeds United had taken notice of Jordan Torunarigha’s performances for KAA Gent last season, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Deutschland back in May. Journalist Sacha Tavolieri claimed earlier this month that Crystal Palace and West Ham United are also pursuing him.
Withewsn 44 appearances across all competitions, the centre-back was a fixture for the Jupiler Pro League team in the previous campaign.
West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Leeds are mentioned by TuttoMercatoWeb in relation to Monza’s pursuit of the 26-year-old.
The Nigerian international, who was born in Germany, moved from Hertha Berlin to Gent in January 2022, initially on loan. Later that year, his stay was extended. With less than a year remaining on his contract, the Belgian team is willing to let him go this summer.
TMW estimates that Gent will try to get about €5 million, while the Serie A team is hoping to offer between €3 and €3.5 million. They are not alone, though, as West Ham and Crystal Palace have both expressed interest in the defender in recent weeks.
Leeds allegedly submitted a €3 million bid in May, but Gent rejected it. They could have offered something better now, but they didn’t.
