Surrounding roads were also closed at Hardwick Roundabout
In Norfolk, a man was discovered gravely injured and later died, prompting the closure of a key thoroughfare on Saturday, August 08. At the Hardwick Roundabout in King’s Lynn, traffic on the A47 and nearby roads was suspended.
The shutdown went into effect at approximately 10.15 a.m. Just before 1:00 pm, it was verified that all closures had been lifted.
According to a Norfolk Police spokesman, “all road closures around the Hardwick Roundabout in King’s Lynn on the A47 have been lifted following an incident this morning.”
“The A47 is now open in both directions between the A1122 Swaffham & A148 Kings Lynn following the earlier incident,” a National Highways official stated. Traffic is now moving freely and there are no longer any residual delays.”
