A55 carriageway closed after ghastly crash which had rescue team struggling to save lives

Leaked video captured a vehicle hauling a caravan swerving over the Llanfairfechan roundabout and slamming into a truck.

An update on the collision that closed a portion of the A55 for hours has been provided by the police. The collision occurred at the Llanfairfechan roundabout and involved a lorry and a car towing a caravan.

Leaked on social media and extensively circulated, CCTV footage of the collision shows the car swerving over the roundabout before slamming into the lorry. The road was closed westbound while emergency personnel attended to the collision, which severely damaged the truck, car, and caravan.

Fortunately, according to confirmation from North Wales Police today. Thankfully, there were only minor injuries, according to a police statement. The police are looking into it.”

At approximately 11 a.m. on Tuesday, police, fire, and ambulance services were dispatched to the scene of the collision. Pictures from the scene revealed that the caravan the lorry was towing had been destroyed and that the vehicle was on its roof when the cab of the lorry crashed forward onto the road.

There were significant delays on the road network when a crane was brought in to assist with clearing the crash scene. Massive lines formed on the A55, and a detour via the A470 and A5 was beset by prolonged delays.
