Tragedy as man motorcyclist killed after crash in Stoke-on-Trent

The man, in his 70s, died following the collision with a car

After colliding with an automobile in Staffordshire, a biker lost their life. Around 6.30 p.m. on Friday, August 16, police and paramedics were called to Rugeley Road in Cannock following a collision between a car and a motorbike close to the Beau Desert Golf Club in Hazelslade.

Sadly, the 70-year-old motorcyclist passed away at the site. Police added that his family is being supported by specialised officers.


In order to determine the reason of the crash, officers stated that they had started a “full and detailed investigation.” They also mentioned that the car’s driver remained at the site and assisted the police with their investigation.

“A man has sadly died following a collision between a motorbike and a car in Cannock,” a Staffordshire Police spokesperson said. It occurred this evening, Friday, August 16, at approximately 6.30 p.m. on Rugeley Road, close to the Beau Desert Golf Club.”West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics were with us when we arrived. Sadly, the man in his 70s who was riding a motorbike passed away at the site despite the efforts of emergency responders.
