Road closed as woman killed, child and man fighting for life after crash near in Bundaberg

Two cars collided on a Queensland road, killing the woman and seriously injuring the man and a small child.

About 7.42 a.m. on Monday, the cars collided at the intersection of Gin Gin Mount Perry Rd and Gillens Siding Rd in Moolboolaman, close to Bundaberg.

According to a Queensland Ambulance Spokesperson, paramedics evaluated three patients for multiple injuries at the scene before requesting rescue helicopter support.

Paramedics evaluated a 32-year-old woman driving a red Holden Commodore as critically ill, but she passed away at the scene.

Her passenger, a nine-year-old girl with head and chest injuries, was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital in a critical but stable state.

According to the spokesperson, a 24-year-old man who was operating a white Isuzu D-Max utility was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with significant pelvic injuries. He is currently in a stable condition.

Drivers were warned to stay away from the area or to anticipate significant delays.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage is wanted by the police.

There are still investigations underway.
