Luke Cleary’s death was the subject of an inquest at Coventry Coroner’s Court.
An inquest heard that a terrible motorbike crash claimed the life of a Coventry teen. According to the Coventry Coroner’s Court, Luke Cleary was speeding at about 86 mph on a major road that connected Coventry and Bedworth.
The 19-year-old Mr. Cleary collided with a grey Ford Kuga that was turning right onto Longford Square. He passed away from numerous wounds in what the coroner called a “truly sad case.”
Coroner Delroy Henry described the occurrence as follows: “The driver of the vehicle crossed the canal bridge and signalled to turn right into the side junction.” A huge bang sounded at his nearside door before he could process what had transpired.
“He knew that the police and ambulance were being called, and he was covered in glass.” People from the public pulled him out of the car and noticed that he had been struck by what he described as a huge sports bike.”
PC Jenna Sheaf produced a Serious Collision Investigation report and spoke during this week’s inquest for Mr. Cleary. The report’s conclusions were derived from witness accounts, CCTV footage, reports from responding law enforcement personnel, and an expert reconstruction of the event.
“The collision occurred on a major road that connects Coventry with Nuneaton and Bedworth,” the spokeswoman stated. The crash occurred at a crossroads, but the majority of the route is single-carriageway. Street illumination is present all the way along the road which was in working order.”
