Several delays on the M25 clockwise caused major congestion during the rush hour drive to work for many this morning (August 22). An earlier accident at Junction 27 for the M11 saw one lane closed and congestion back to Junction 25 but this has since been cleared.
The left-hand tunnel on the Dartford Crossing was closed due to a broken-down vehicle. There was congestion from Junction 1A for the A206 to Dartford to Junction 31 for the A1306 to Lakeside and Purfleet as well as congestion towards Junction 3 for the M20 Swanley Interchange.
Another accident in Surrey at Junction 10 for the A3 Wisley Interchange also caused major congestion back towards Junction 13 for Staines but the delays have since been cleared.
