Sheffield Wednesday striker set for medical

Talented Sheffield Wednesday striker, Bailey Cadamarteri, looks to be closing in on a loan move to Lincoln City.

The Star has previously reported that the 19-year-old was a target for a number of clubs after it became apparent that he’d be available on loan this season, with Lincoln City having opened up negotiations recently in order to try and bring him on board.

Now it’s thought that Cadamarteri,

an England youth international, is set to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed switch, however there are believed to be some finer details still to be sorted out before it is finalised and sanctioned.

“Cadz” contributed significantly to the Owls’ Championship survival last season after Danny Röhl moved him up from the U21 team to the senior squad. He scored five goals and provided five assists, however it has been determined that he would benefit more from a period away from regular senior action.

The decision to attempt and sign the attacker before the transfer window closes at 11 p.m. on Friday was made because Michael Skubala, the manager, is known to be a fan of the player and the Imps are thought to be a strong fit for his style of play.

Wednesday made their 11th signing of the summer on Tuesday with the addition of Shea Charles, and there is work going on behind the scenes to make sure there are more ins and outs before the window slams shut.
