Police appeal after one assaulted and left for death in Ramsgate

In a reported robbery in Ramsgate, a man was beaten and his rucksack was taken. Now, police are looking for witnesses.

At 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, Kent Police received a third-party report about a man who had been robbed of his backpack and assaulted by two other men in La Belle Alliance Square. After responding to the scene, police detained a 55-year-old man who was in the area on suspicion of robbery.

Since then, he’s been set free. The reported offender’s victim was not present at the scene and has not come forward to report the incident.

Detectives conducting the investigation are requesting that the victim or any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police contact them. It is recommended that anyone with information contact Kent Police at 01843 222289, mentioning reference 46/139613/24.
