Tragedy as woman dies after collision on busy road in Sheffield

A pedestrian, yesterday morning during rush hour in a collision with a car on a busy Sheffield road has died.

On Donetsk Way, near Crystal Peaks, yesterday at 7.35 a.m. a woman, who has not yet been named, was involved in a collision with a black Vauxhall Astra.
The injured woman was taken to the hospital, but despite the efforts of doctors, she could not be saved.When the collision occurred, the Vauxhall Astra was driving along Donetsk Way in the direction of Moss Way.

Yesterday, the road was closed for several hours as the scene was investigated.

Police officers investigating the incident want to hear from witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage along the route of Donetsk Way in Sheffield.

Emergency services were called to Donetsk Way at 7.35 a.m. following a collision involving a black Vauxhall Astra and a pedestrian.

The female pedestrian was taken to hospital, but tragically died later. Our road police officers have informed her family and they are providing support.

When the collision occurred, the Vauxhall Astra was traveling along Donetsk Way in the direction of Moss Way.
We are eager to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage along the route of Donetsk Way in Sheffield.”
