Teenage boy arrested on suspicion of robbery in Gillingham

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after a teenager reported being robbed in Gillingham. The suspect is reported to have been armed with a knife during the incident on September 13.

The incident happened as the victim had arranged to sell a pair of earbuds in Trafalgar Street. When he arrived in the area at around 9.30pm, police said he was reported to have been threatened with a knife before being robbed.

The offender is reported to have stolen the victim’s earbuds along with their mobile phone. A Kent Police said: “Following enquiries officers arrested a 16-year-old boy at around 1.40am on Friday, September 13.

“He has since been bailed until Thursday, December 12 while further enquiries are carried out.”
