According to DPS, the vehicle was westbound on I-40 when the driver failed to maintain a single lane and left the roadway. The vehicle entered the center median and rolled over multiple times towards the eastbound lanes into the south ditch.
DPS officials stated the rollover resulted in Luiz Angela, 20, a 15-year-old and a 9-year-old being ejected during the crash. All were pronounced dead at the scene by Oldham County Justice of the Peace Kristy O’Malley.
Officials also stated that a 5-month-old infant was injured and was transported to the Amarillo Northwest Texas Hospital, where he was treated and released. All were from the Hereford area.
