Packers find solution to heart aching issue

Since Tucker Kraft was selected in the third round of last year’s draft, there’s a good probability that if you play fantasy football and are a fan of the Green Bay Packers, you’ve had him on one or more rosters.

After Kraft’s performance in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams, his price tag skyrocketed. Either that’s your story, or you’ve tried everything to make a trade for him before this week. At this point, you might not even be able to get him. It very well could be too late.

Over the course of his first year or so, Kraft had played fairly well in a few games, but in this one? He was a playmaker of a different sort. The former standout player for South Dakota State put on a show and enjoyed a career day.

Kraft caught four of five targets for 88 yards and two touchdowns in the victory over the Rams. It’s possible that one of his touchdowns in particular marked his breakthrough.

Kraft declared, “I’m here,” during a particular play.

Kraft turned up field right away after receiving a pass from quarterback Jordan Love near the left sideline. Along the way to the end zone, he not only started moving at an almost unbelievable speed, but he also sent a Rams defender to the ground with a stiff arm that looked familiar.

Kraft is in some very exclusive company according to the post above. He will gain attention if he leads the league in yards after the catch for a player in his position. While most tight ends have had a difficult year, Kraft appears to be blossoming, and it’s a good thing he’s in Green Bay.

Tucker Kraft has given the Packers a potentially-elite tight end for years to come

It’s not hyperbole to suggest that this team may have their own George Kittle, a la the San Francisco 49ers. That’s what we witnessed from Kraft on Sunday. Given Kraft’s performance on that one play, more opportunities will undoubtedly present themselves in the future. Matt LaFleur will have no choice but to regularly involve his tight end because Love will keep pursuing him.

He is an armament.

Kraft is a constant blocker for this team in addition to being a weapon in the receiving game due to his speed and ability to break tackles. In addition, if you know anything about Kittle besides his exceptional receiving ability, you may be aware of his intense love for blocking.

While not every tight end can offer you the best of both worlds, Kraft is starting to show promise as a dual threat.

As Love continues to heal from his MCL injury, this offence will only get stronger. Because of their wide range of talents, the wide receiver group enables the offence to do a lot of different things.

However, what if you introduce a potent threat to the tight end position? The offence of the Packers just got much more lethal.
