St. Louis City SC has renamed its famous stadium Energiser Park in collaboration with global battery giant Energiser.
After decades of residing in St. Louis, Energiser currently owns the naming rights to a stadium dedicated to football, which was formerly known as CITYPARK until the club’s 2023 expansion season.
The 22,500-seat stadium in St. Louis, which serves as the focal point of the biggest urban professional sports campus in the US, has won praise for attracting high-end fans, vitality, and new investment to downtown.
Carolyn Kindle, CEO of St. Louis CITY SC, stated that “Energiser is one of the most respected, recognisable brands in the world and is part of the fabric of the St. Louis region.”
“Energiser is an innovative brand that delivers and embodies long-lasting energy, matching the passion and energy of our fans on matchdays. Through this collaboration, it demonstrates its dedication to improve the St. Louis region, which is one of the many ways that it aligns with CITY SC. We’re excited to work with Energiser to spur further development in St. Louis, and we can’t wait for our supporters to swarm Energiser Park beginning in 2025.”
Thanks to a passionate fan base and an exciting gameday experience, St. Louis became the first expansion team in MLS history to win their conference in their first season in 2023.
By showcasing over 25 St. Louis restaurants throughout the stadium and promoting local performers during pre-game CITY Block Parties, the team integrates St. Louis culture into its gameday experience and has sold out 34 straight home MLS games.
In addition to MLS games, international competitions and friendlies frequently take place in St. Louis’ stadium. The stadium was been included in the esteemed Prix Versailles “World’s Most Beautiful Sports Venues List 2024” by UNESCO.
According to Mark LaVigne, president and CEO of Energiser Holdings, “this is a truly exceptional moment for Energiser as we find new ways to engage our community, connect with our consumers, and expand the reach of our iconic brand.” As North America is ready to host the FIFA World Cup in 2026, MLS and football in the United States are expanding rapidly. Being a part of it all with CITY SC makes us very happy.
