A Glasgow train line is to be temporarily blocked while engineers fix a signal issue.
A signal issue at Pollokshaws West is preventing trains from operating between Glasgow Central and East Kilbride this morning (Sunday, November 3).
According to Network Rail, engineers have located the issue and are attempting to resolve it as soon as possible.
The line between Glasgow Central and Barrhead/Kilmarnock will close for approximately an hour starting at 9.30am in order to safely resolve the problem.
ScotRail has said in the meantime, passengers can travel on Neilston / Cathcart Circle services as alternative routes and bus replacements have been requested.
The rail firm issued an update at 10.45am that the line had reopened and the signal issue had been resolved.
The first trains to depart to/from East Kilbride will be the: 1048 Glasgow Central to East Kilbride and the 1126 East Kilbride – Glasgow Central.
