King Power chairman learned from their former manager mistakes”

Current thoughts on Aiyawatt “Khun Top” Srivaddhanaprabha learns from last season’s Brendan Rodgers fiasco

Chairman of Leicester City Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has demonstrated that he has learnt from his error by postponing the decision to fire Brendan Rodgers.

Following a seven-game losing streak, Rodgers was fired in April, with the team already in the Premier League relegation zone and on the verge of elimination. Before Rodgers was fired, a sizable portion of the Leicester supporters had already turned against him; some had been dissatisfied with the manager for up to 18 months prior to his final exit.

King Power faced criticism for taking so long to fire Rodgers, considering that he had been under pressure for the most of the season. With their sister club OH Leuven, City’s owners have encountered a similar situation this season.

With two victories, three draws, and five losses in their first ten league games of the season, the Belgian team has only amassed nine points. Their unsatisfactory start has landed them in the bottom three, and supporters are calling on King Power and the club’s administration to take appropriate measures.

This time, they moved swiftly to fire manager Marc Brys and take action. Before it was too late, they listened to the club’s followers. Additionally, Leicester came under fire for holding off on firing Rodgers until after the international break, something they have already addressed.

Now that Brys is out of the picture, Leuven is hoping to schedule a speedy appointment so their new manager can get to know their players before the league season starts up again. Although no obvious contenders have surfaced for the Leuven position, King Power might have his sights set on a youthful, driven coach along the lines of Enzo Maresca.

However, they have no problem designating a well-known and seasoned individual. From September 2017 till February 2019, Nigel Pearson, the former manager of Leicester, was Leuven’s manager. They chose to appoint another seasoned coach for Brys so they could proceed in that direction instead.

The apparent lack of planning for Rodgers’ exit was another error committed at Leicester. Despite an agreement reached with former Leeds manager Jesse Marsch before to his departure, the club didn’t seem to know exactly where it wanted to go. Dean Smith was ultimately chosen by City, although it seemed like a last-minute choice.

Prior to Maresca’s arrival, Carl Hoefkens, a Belgian coach, was connected to Leicester; he is currently the manager of Standard Liege. Another manager with ties to City is former Club Brugge manager Scott Parker, who is now available and has Belgian football experience.

Although the public is unsure of Leuven’s course, Khun Top will most likely know given the Rodgers fiasco from the previous season. He will not want the past to happen again.
