Prior to the match against Mansfield Town, Chris Davies has stated that Emil Hansson will be sidelined for “a few weeks” for Birmingham City.
Birmingham City will be happy to have such a strong team because manager Chris Davies hasn’t had the best start to the season due to injuries.
Although some important players have missed time due to injury, the impact of those injuries hasn’t been particularly noticeable because of St. Andrew’s depth. With just five points lost this season and one loss in 11 games, they are still atop the table.
However, Emil Hansson, the Blues’ summer acquisition, hobbled off during the victory over Bolton Wanderers, giving them a new worry this week. The Swede has been a consistent starter since coming and reportedly cost £1.5 million.
Davies has now acknowledged that Birmingham City will be without the 26-year-old for “a few weeks.”
He told Birmingham Live, “It appears that Emil will be out for a few weeks.”
He’s been really excellent for us and has played a lot of football, so it’s a disappointment that he seems to be out after feeling something there. That’s the way it is; there’s always someone else waiting to enter and seize the chance. 
“We simply need to evaluate Emil on a daily basis.
Although they are still preparing for their comebacks, Birmingham City has welcomed Luke Harris back to training, and Lukas Jutkiewicz will follow suit.
Davies said that as their individual recovery programs draw to a close, it shouldn’t be “too long” before Lee Buchanan and Krystian Bielik return.
Dealing with the blow
Harris’ impending return could be advantageous because he could play in the centre while Keshi Anderson and Willum Thor Willumsson occupied the left.
Additionally, it might offer Japanese celebrity Ayumu Yokoywama a chance. Hansson’s injury might allow the 21-year-old, an enticing talent who has mostly seen time off the bench, to into Davies’ starting lineup.
