“Unreal scenes” Ollie Arblaster reacts to dramatic Sheffield United win

Ollie Arblaster wrote a positive Instagram post after Sheffield United’s thrilling victory over Bristol City on Tuesday night.

In order to move into the automatic promotion spots ahead of Wednesday night’s games against Sunderland and Leeds United, the Blades had to rally late to overcome a deficit at Ashton Gate and win all three points.

Harrison Burrows’ goal in the 98th minute, which was essentially the game’s last kick, gave the Robins the three points and stopped their momentum just as it appeared they would win and move into the play-off spots.

The game was tied four minutes from the end thanks to a header from Ryan One after Anis Mehmeti had given the home team the lead in the 75th minute. Burrows then scored after Arblaster had sent the ball inside the box, giving Sheffield United all three points.

Arblaster shares a message on Instagram.

Even though the season is still very early, the win at Ashton Gate might define the season, especially if it begins to pull the Blades away from Burnley.

Despite not starting the game, Arblaster had a key role in the game’s pivotal moment by deftly sending Burrows in, which gave the left-back his second goal in as many games.

Although Rob Dickie’s departure for Bristol City was crucial in allowing Sheffield United to attack the Robins without their finest defender, there was little that could be done to keep Chris Wilder’s team from winning.

Blades players headed up the stand to celebrate with their fans after the goal, which set off incredible scenes in the away end.
Burrows, the left-back and game-winning player for Sheffield United, responded to the gifted young player with the straightforward yet impactful message, “I love you😍😍😍”

Bristol City victory is a huge statement from Sheffield United
Although it is still early days in the season, it can be said that the Blades sent a message to their promotion rivals with the win, showing that they will keep fighting until the end for all three points.

Bristol City have been on a very good run in recent weeks, and looked as though they were going to take another step towards their play-off push, however, they were denied the chance of entering the top six by the Yorkshire club.

It’s a victory that puts a lot of pressure on Leeds to get one of their own on Wednesday as anything less will see the Whites outside the top two heading into the weekend.

For Sheffield United, it gives them a huge amount of confidence heading into the Steel City Derby on Sunday, and they will be hoping for a more controlled and comfortable performance against their bitter rivals.

Sheffield Wednesday’s excellent 2-0 win over Norwich City on Tuesday also shows what they can produce when they are at their very best, and the Blades know that they will have to be on it from the first minute to take the bragging rights.
