Detroit Lions Lose Key Player

During the 2024 offseason, the Detroit Lions made a number of moves, including signing a veteran cornerback who had assisted the Buccaneers in winning Super Bowl LV.

Carlton Davis was the cornerback. Terrion Arnold and Amik Robertson were also added to the Lions’ secondary, and they have worked well together. Davis has a passer rating of 89.1 and has allowed completions on 60.3% of the passes that have been thrown at him in eight games.

The Scouting Department of Bleacher Report believes that Davis will be released from Detroit in 2025 free agency and sign with the Las Vegas Raiders. Davis will be a free agent in 2025.

Bleacher Report’s NFL analyst and expert Matt Holder talked about the Las Vegas Raiders’ current crash-and-burn vibe in an article published on November 4.

Holder stated, “Vegas has now dropped five straight games, and there isn’t much to be optimistic about going forward.” “They should anticipate receiving calls on some of their veterans prior to the trade deadline, given that they traded away Davante Adams earlier this season.”

Holder suggested that Davis be added by the Raiders in 2025 free agency.

“It hasn’t worked out for the Raiders to hope that Jack Jones will live up to the hype he created over the second half of last season,” he added. It also doesn’t seem likely that Jakorian Bennett will improve to the level of a reliable starter. The Raiders’ top cover guy, Nate Hobbs, is available as a free agent this offseason.

“The Raiders need an experienced starting corner who can stabilise the position,” he continued. Carlton Davis has done just that with the Lions this season. The Lions now have a more reliable player at the position thanks to the 28-year-old, who might be signed to accomplish the

the same thing in Las Vegas.

It remains to be seen what transpires and whether Davis and Maxx Crosby wind up together in Las Vegas.

Potential New Cornerback Help for the Lions

Holder suggests Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Kristian Fulton as a player the Detroit Lions should sign in 2025 free agency. He also commends Detroit for their outstanding record, which has seen them win six straight games and go 7-1 into the second half of the season to take the top spot in the NFC North rankings.

“Detroit could definitely use some help at cornerback,” he wrote. Terrion Arnold has a lot of promise, but he has struggled to start his career. Additionally, Emmanuel Moseley and Carlton Davis will soon become free agents.

Holder went into further detail about why he believes Fulton might fit in, saying, “So, the front

This spring, the office should look into the free market for the role, and Fulton will be a fascinating choice because he has revitalised his career in Los Angeles. When aiming for a 79.1 coverage grade from Pro Football Focus, the 26-year-old has only given up nine receptions and a passer rating of 68.8 going into this weekend.
