A collision at the intersection of Allison Street and Robert Street in Barrow has resulted in the death of a woman.
Due to a suspected medical episode, the single-vehicle crash happened just after 6:40 p.m. on Monday.
Yesterday, the 60-year-old Barrow lady who was driving the car was declared dead.
The 42-year-old, who has not yet been named, was found at a property in Goldsmith Street in Barrow-in-Furness on Monday afternoon.
She was taken to Furness General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Cumbria Police initially treated the death as unexplained, but later said there were no suspicious circumstances.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the collision in Kendal, Cumbria, on Thursday.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene after emergency personnel were dispatched to Burton Road just after 16:00 GMT.
As a “witness who was directly behind the HGV at the time of the collision,” Cumbria Constabulary stated that it wished to talk with the driver of a black Mini.
From the route to Oxenholme and the adjoining Westmorland General Hospital to the roundabout by the town’s Asda store, the road was closed for several hours.
