After a tractor-related collision this evening, Tuesday, November 5, a road into Yeovil has reopened. There were significant traffic delays in the vicinity, and the A359 Mudford Hill was closed in both directions.
After a tractor and a car collided, Google Maps showed that the road between Lyde Road and Sock Hill was closed. It follows an earlier collision that occurred this afternoon in Yeovil on the A37 Ilchester Road close to Yeovil College.
According to traffic monitor Inrix, “A359 Mudford Hill in both directions closed, delays due to accident from Lyde Road to Mudford Sock turning.”
No injuries were reported at the scene, according to an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson. At approximately 9.30 p.m., the road reopened.
A representative for Avon and Somerset Police stated: “On Tuesday, November 5, at around 5:30 p.m., a car and tractor collided, closing Mudford Road at its intersection with Lyde Road in Yeovil.
“There are no reported injuries but the road remains blocked pending recovery of the vehicles.”
