Breaking News: Middlesbrough star set to complete Premier League switch

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that West Ham observed Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath as he was the star of the team’s crushing victory over Oxford United.
At the Kassam Stadium, Middlesbrough crushed a pathetic Oxford United team 6-2 on Saturday afternoon, displaying their deadly finest once again.

The rampant win from Michael Carrick’s side was their third in a row in the Championship. In this impressive run, they have bagged a remarkable 15 goals.

Once again, striker Emmanuel Latte Lath was the star of the show. The Ivorian has come alive in the last three games after a slow start to the season and scored a hat-trick while providing one assist in the weekend’s huge win.

It takes him to seven goals and two assists in 16 Championship games, with five goals and both assists coming in the last three Middlesbrough outings.

Now, amid his latest starring display, Gianluca Di Marzio reports Premier League side West Ham were in attendance on Saturday to watch his masterful performance. The Hammers look to be in the market for new attacking threats this winter amid their poor start to the top-flight campaign.

Latte Lath, 25, is under contract with Boro until the summer of 2027.

Many believed that Latte Lath, the Middlesbrough talisman, would begin the new season in the same manner after finishing the previous one so effectively. But after scoring on the first day, the Ivorian would only score once in the next twelve games.

Summer signing Tommy Conway has been pushing him for the starting berth but after seven goal contributions in three games, Latte Lath has affirmed his spot in Carrick’s starting XI.

Such form ahead of January is bound to catch the eyes of clubs in higher leagues.

West Ham are unlikely to be the only ones keen on the striker, though only time will tell if their admiration develops into anything more serious when the next transfer window comes around.

One of the best individual performances by a player this season must have been Latte Lath’s performance against Oxford United. But he will be closely matched by Middlesbrough colleague Finn Azaz’s performance.

On Saturday, the attacking midfielder was virtually unplayable, much like Latte Lath.

He finished the tournament with two goals and two assists, bringing his total to five goals and seven assists in 16 league appearances. With four goals and four assists in the last two games, Azaz has also flourished in this free-scoring Boro style.

On Wednesday night, they will play Blackburn Rovers in an attempt to maintain their current form.
