Just hours after giving birth to their youngest grandson, a mother was left “devastated” when she had to identify the remains of her parents, who perished in a collision.
Following a head-on collision on the evening of November 18, 2022, on the A47 near Belton-in-Rutland, Gail Gale, 58, and Ian Gale, 64, were declared
deceased at the scene, according to Leicestershire Police.
According to the force, Simarjeet Singh, 35, was convicted on Monday at Leicester Crown Court of causing the deaths of the couple through reckless driving, two counts of causing death by driving without insurance and two charges of causing death while driving without a licence.
