Visitors coming to Barrow as part of the Dave Day celebrations next year will have the chance to camp on the Raiders rugby pitch.
Following confirmation last weekend that the huge event would return to Barrow in 2025 on June 21 and 22, the Barrow Raiders have announced that it will open the Northern Competitions Stadium as part of the weekend-long tributes to Dave Myers. A Barrow Raiders spokesperson stated: “We look forward to once again playing our part in the town’s celebrations as we come together to celebrate the life and legacy of Dave Myers.”
With the town core only a two-minute walk away, the ground provides the ideal setting for the weekend’s activities.
“Both packages include a donation to the Advantage Barrow Raiders Community Foundation, supporting the growth of the club’s off-field work in the local community.”

The club has already built a strong connection to Dave Day, having held a tribute concert at the stadium earlier this year.
The Raiders’ licensed bar will be open across the weekend and entertainment is currently being planned, with further details of this set to be announced in due course.
Catering outlets will also be available, serving a range of food and drink, including breakfasts.

There will also be toilet facilities on site, along with both men and women’s showers.
A Saturday night pitch is priced at £20, and for a full weekend, the cost is £35.

The first day of the event will see bikers join the ride into Barrow, which saw an estimated 46,000 people get involved with in the first iterations.
On the Sunday, a range of events have been planned, including a food festival, bike shows and a football match between celebrities and bikers.
