Major Glasgow road close today maybe for over three weeks

Due to gas maintenance, a road in North Glasgow will be off-limits to motorists for over three weeks.

Between Monday, January 6, 2025, and Sunday, February 2, 2025, the connecting road between Baird Street and Springburn Road will be closed.

For more than three weeks, the restriction will be in effect.

For the duration of these repairs, the A803 Springburn Road off slip to Baird Street will stay open.

Engineers advise cars to take alternate routes and warn that delays are to be expected.

Food spot announces shock closure after being open for almost three months

On Saturday, December 14, Crust & Crumble, located on Prieston Road in Bridge of Weir, will close.

The store broke the heartbreaking news, adding that they have “not seen the demand” they “hoped for” since launching and are therefore “unable to sustain running costs.”

On September 20, 2024, the restaurant in the community opened.

Fresh cakes and baked goods, Italian coffee, freshly prepared cuisine to go, and snacks are its specialities.

“Dear customers, this Saturday will be our last day open for business,” a venue representative stated.

“Crust & Crumble has not received the demand we had hoped for, and we are unable to support our running expenditures despite a promising start.

“We have made the decision to close our doors after giving it some thought.

“We would love to meet you in these final days to say farewell, and we sincerely appreciate all of your support along the process!

“I want to thank you again for your help.
